A tsunami is a series of water and ocean waves caused by the disturbance of a large volume of a body of water. Tsunamis can be generated by earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, landslides, glacier calvings, meteorite impacts in the ocean. The tsunami will come ashore like a fast rising flood.
