Accident – Man immolates himself on burning petrol tanker

Houwhoek, Western Cape, South Africa. A man leaps into the fire after crawling back up the embankment he drove down, after hitting the truck

Unconfirmed reports state that the man’s wife died in the accident, and that might be why he decided to run into the fire.

The truck driver(wearing blue), speaking to the women [Afrikaans] says that the man swerved out of his lane into the side of the truck, igniting the fire and then obviously ricocheting to the other side of the road and crashing through the barrier and down the embankment.

She also asks him if the truck is filled with petrol, and tells the second woman (also not in the video) that she can see his arm moving.

At the end of the video the truck driver asks the woman if she recorded it, to cover him.

Personally I’m surprised he survived the initial accident, this is just horrific.
