These guys take flying cars to another level!

Some reviews about this:

That’s an autogyro. Basically moving forward makes the “wings” rotate and the rotation creates enough lift for the thing to fly. Actually they’re pretty safe from what I understand

The autogyro might have worked a lot better if they had mounted the fin & rudder a lot further back. As it was they had too much side area ahead of the center of gravity so it was always going to end this way. Nice try though.

It’s a gyroplane rotor in auto-rotation not a powered rotor like a helicopter. The main problem with this setup is weight and balance. It was too tail heavy and there was no yaw control (vertical stabilizer or rudder). If he fixed that it would work. This is kind of how dynamic load test is done for rotor blades actually by fitting them on top of a heavy and fast car and driving down at high speeds.

He didn’t have a tail rotor to keep himself controlled from going left to right…The truck pulling him was his engines pretty much…a good idea I’ll give him that but I’ve worked on helos for many ah year so it’s not a plain you were pullin..

So he would have done much better with a rear prop like helos have to counter the soon of the main rotor.

No tail long enough and rotor blade to balance when airborne. What were you thinking guys? Back to the drawing board, you can do it. (flying cars)
