The bZ Woodland, essentially a rebranded Subaru Trailseeker, boasts an impressive 375 horsepower, comes standard with all-wheel drive, and offers an estimated driving range of 260 miles.

Looking at the new 2026 Toyota bZ Woodland, it’s hard not to notice its resemblance to the Subaru Trailseeker, highlighting the power of observation. This visual similarity isn’t surprising, considering the established partnership between Toyota and Subaru, which has already yielded models like the Subaru BRZ/Toyota GR86 and Subaru Solterra/Toyota bZ EVs. Although built on the same platform as the Solterra/bZ, the bZ Woodland boasts a longer wheelbase and more powerful electric motors.

bZ Adopts a Woodland Aesthetic

The Toyota bZ Woodland distinguishes itself from the standard bZ model with its standard all-wheel drive system, powered by two electric motors that deliver 375 horsepower, matching the Trailseeker variant. Equipped with a battery boasting an estimated 67 kWh of usable capacity, the Woodland is projected to achieve a range of up to 260 miles on a full charge, according to Toyota. A NACS charge port is standard, granting access to Tesla’s extensive Supercharger network for DC fast-charging. Toyota estimates a 10 to 80 percent charge at a Supercharger can be accomplished in just 30 minutes. For convenient home charging, an 11-kW onboard charger is also included for use with Level 2 charging stations.

Despite their similar appearance, the Toyota bZ Woodland distinguishes itself from the Subaru Trailseeker with its distinctive “hammerhead” front-end styling, creating a unique lighting signature. Beyond this, however, shared design elements include dark overfenders, roof-mounted cross-bars, and wavy body lines. The Woodland offers 8.3 inches of ground clearance and the option of all-terrain tires, enhancing its off-road capability. All Woodland models come equipped with 18-inch wheels featuring removable aero covers, even without the upgraded tires. Furthermore, this mid-size EV SUV boasts a towing capacity of up to 3500 pounds.

The bZ Woodland’s interior mirrors the design of other Toyota EVs, featuring a streamlined dashboard with a high-mounted digital gauge cluster and a 14.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Standard interior features include heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and upholstery options in either black or brown.

The center console features a rotary gear selector and dual wireless charging pads. For added flair, the optional Premium package upgrades the audio system to a nine-speaker JBL setup (instead of the standard six), adds a panoramic sunroof, and includes ventilated front seats. The Woodland model boasts approximately 30 cubic feet of cargo space, a benefit included without any upcharge, and slightly exceeding the standard bZ’s capacity by about two cubic feet.

Anticipated to arrive at dealerships in early 2026, the official pricing for the 2026 Toyota bZ Woodland is yet to be announced. However, given its availability in a single, well-appointed trim level, it is anticipated to have a slightly higher starting price than the Trailseeker (estimated at $45,000). A reasonable estimate would place the bZ Woodland’s starting price around $50,000.
